We recently have run into an error that prevents Plant 3D from starting up. Users will try to start Plant 3D and a fatal error will occur similar to the one below.
This particular error has a simple fix. In your local user data folder, the GraphicsCache contains content that create this error.
In Windows 7 the folder is located at:
“C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Local\Autodesk\AutoCAD Plant 3D 2013 – English\R18.2\enu\GraphicsCache”
You should create a backup folder and move the contents of the cache to the backup folder.
Restarting after moving the contents of the graphics cache folder should fix the issue.
