- Tool Palette Images for Custom Lines Update
- Creating Custom Image for Process Line Palettes
So, in the last post we did a bunch of extra work making an image for a tool palette. Brian Tait, from Cheniere, reminded me that we could let AutoCAD do all that work for us.
So, to let AutoCAD do the work, first, create a block of the line:
Second, save the drawing.
Third, drag and drop the line onto the tool palette.
Now we can locate our images. The images will be stored in your tool palette folder. By default this is within the ROAMABLEROOTPREFIX folder.

I located my images here:
C:\Users\dave.wolfe.S-VILLE-ECAD\AppData\Roaming\Autodesk\AutoCAD Plant 3D 2013 – English\R19.0\enu\Support\ToolPalette\Palettes\Images
At this point, we can right-click on the palette button we added from our project, go to properties, and use the new LineInsulated64.png for a new image.
